Andrew Peller Limited

Andrew Peller Ltd. is the largest wine maker in Canada. Peller’s product portfolio contains many different wines in both the VQA and ICB wine grades. Beside wine APL also produces liquors and whiskey, the current wine making system was no longer adequate to cover this large variety of products. What APL was looking for was a solution that seamlessly integrated with their Supply Chain Platform while providing optimal support for wine makers and cellar operations.

1804 consulting was contracted to assist in developing a future state vision and platform architecture and assist with the Request for Proposal phase to select a vendor for the future “wine” making system.

For this 1804 Consulting analyzed both people, process and technology needs, pain-points and opportunities in all areas of the wine, whiskey and liquor making processes, from grape management, to harvest, to fermentation and blending, to cellar operations to storage. This not only delivered a holistic view for the technical solution but also identified areas for improvement in terms of standardization across processes and locations, Business process efficiencies and value management. 1804 successfully delivered the RFP documentation and assisted APL.
